I remember watching this movie once before but it has been such a long time that I am really glad to of watched it again!
The Goonies was written by Steven Spielberg and directed by Richard Donner.
The movie is about a group of boys who for the most part are misfits so they nickname themselves The Goonies. Their group has a little of everything… for example, their leader is always working out and athletic then you have the funny fat kid, smart Asian kid, the adventuress kid, and the wise ass who likes to impress everyone.
In the beginning of the movie they get a visit by men who are developers and they tell the Goonies that their house is going to be knocked down so they can build a golf course. Thinking if they find riches they can keep the house so the Goonies find a map in the attic and go on a treasure hunt! In this treasure hunt they encounter a criminal family called the Fratellis who are also looking for One Eyed Willies Treasure.
Without giving away to much information about the movie and treasure hunt I’ll leave you at this… They encounter some scary and weird things during their treasure hunt and as the movie progresses the Goonies try to help each other out as much as possible and realize without each other they can’t accomplish nearly as much if they work together.
Good movie but can be a little cheesy at times! Good movie to watch if you’re looking for a laugh.
