This film follows a secretary, Tess (Melanie Griffith), who wants to be more than just a secretary. We see her abused by men (because well the men are painted as scum) and get a new job working for a woman. This woman, Katharine (Sigourney Weaver), turns out to be two faced. Discovering this Tess takes matters into her own hands when Katharine hurts herself skiing. Tess takes her idea to Jack Trainer (Harrison Ford) and they make the deal happen, but not without a hiccup or two. Naturally Jack and Tess fall in love, too bad Jack was with Katharine (he doesn’t like her though don’t worry). And Katharine finds out what Tess has done and tries to ruin it and well almost does. In the end it is happily ever after though, no worries. There are A LOT of women’s issues brought up by this film, particularly the struggle for woman to be taken seriously in the work place. This was an interesting movie. Not great by any means, but good. If you are a fan of any of the cast members it is worth a watch.
