This is a classic Goldie Hawn film. She plays the ditty character that has a heart of gold and is smarter than she seems…kinda. Sunny (Goldie Hawn) is a waitress at a seedy bar in D.C.. On her way home from work she stops an assassination attempt. Totally plausible. Cough cough. The government makes a secret deal with Amir for Sunny to become his Queen. Not knowing their intent she accepts a job from them deal with Protocol. Naturally she falls for the government guy who is actually honest, grows a woman, and winds up becoming a congressman. All I can say is that it is a total cheese film. Completely mindless to watch. There are some good messages, like everyone can make a difference and everybody matters. I guess it is supposed to empower women, but Sunny is totally clueless and other women are painted as slutty or a bitch. Not really empowering, but okay. Anyways. If you want to kill an afternoon it isn’t a bad film to watch.
